The Bark Park.

Finn and I are sitting in the shade of our new favorite place. Mizner Bark Park. It's quite beautiful with three areas for different dog sizes. Small, medium and large. (The small park currently looks like its hosting a nursing home outing...) Finn is always the focal point whenever we go... People can't get enough of his cute face and story. It's a shame that he is so anxious that he can't bond well with strangers and new dogs. Everyone seems to be understanding though.

Our time in Boca has been pretty fun so far. I joined a bootcamp to help me get back into the routine of exercise. I feel better already. It's high intensity but the coach is helping me keep my goals realistic and healthy. I try and go 3-4times a week.

We visited Gumbo Limbo to check out their sea turtle conservation efforts. It was the neatest place. We got to see several sea turtles that are being treated for injuries and hear about the local aquatic life.I would love to volunteer with them but I think Kent and I are going to participate in one of their activities first to see what volunteers actually do.

I still don't have any friends really. There are friendly faces that I see at bootcamp and some neighbors that we run into at this Irish pub we have been frequenting (all three of us! Very dog friendly!) but no real friends yet. That's ok for three weeks I think. Not ideal, but ok. Kent and I are slowly building our new life and its as jarring as it is exciting.

-till next time-
